The Scientific Club established the first wireless aviation team in the "drone" category in 2015. More than thirty members were trained, making the team fully integrated and qualified to compete in any international competition. A special committee for wireless aviation in the "drone" category was added to the committees of the Aviation Sciences and Wireless Cars Department.
The 2018 World Drone Racing Championship, held in Shenzhen, China, saw the participation of 128 competitors and more than 300 participants and assistants representing 34 countries. Kuwait was the only Gulf and Arab country participating in this championship.
